basically when you press the "complete" button it doesn't work, right? sometimes that happens when you need a computer reboot.. sometimes it's due to network or server lag.. in which case there may be nothing you can do but wait.. but fortunately this symptom of not being able to complete quests does not happen often.. I think it happened to me just once, maybe twice.. and it was resolved within a few hours.. good luck  |

it's been in a coffin buried underground for the past few years now..  when Yedang released Priston Tale War (a PT2 spinoff) I knew it'd end badly as well.. and sure enough, after a glimmer, they shut that down and are re-focusing on PT2 as they should have done in the first place... but the renewal update is not quite as refined as the pre-renewal version which had been tested by years of play in CBT/OBT/commercial.. I do think however that PT2 in its original form, while refined, was not perfect and needed some major tweaks.. for example, I think the crafting system became more relevant at higher levels now which is a good thing, but it became pretty useless for 1x - 3x due to overpriced recipes.. still, at least fur prices aren't rendering it completely useless now.. imo they do need to restore defense stats or at least increase them a great deal, and also tweak the stats and skills a lot.. |

hi there greez, welcome to PTN.. unfortunately I cannot help you with the account creation.. you'd have to pull in a favor from a real-life friend who was born in Korea or otherwise has a "KSSN" / resident registration number.. he'd have to register an account and let you play it.. personally I don't like some of the changes, especially the defense nerfing, from the renewal patch.. but it does seem like gamerkraft is "trying" pretty hard to make the game work better.. so I'm sticking around and playing it at a slower pace.. one way to deal with the need to grind when quests run out due to deaths is.. go to a slightly lower level area where mobs are sky-blue and each mob kill gives you about 0.03% xp.. it's generally a lot safer and you kill faster so xp is OK.. then you reach the next level and there are some more quests to boost ya.. anyways, good luck..  |

try out the new potions at the general goods merchant that "replaces" the rest skill.. I think recovery times are a bit faster than the rest skill was.. and not too expensive.. goblin den would be pretty hard for you atm due to the severe nerfing of the defense stats of every item... the attack power has gone up almost the same % so it kinda makes up but have to be more careful I guess.. also, the "cold heart" skill can be used as a single-monster lure skill now for combatants.. but it also makes you run toward it, so you gotta tap "w" a couple times to make it stop running toward it, and wait for it to come to you.. before the renewal patch, I would have strongly recommended combatant over warrior, even though warrior is pretty good defensively, but now I'm not so sure.. as I'm just starting to get familiar with the new skillsets and stats.. drop rate is higher atm and XP I think.. |

you may want to try rebooting your computer as it would probably terminate any programs other than PT2 that are using that file.. worth a try.. finally finished updating and logged in a couple of hours ago.. the skill system and skills look so different..  also the stats... much more attack power (80% boost?) and much less defense power (-75% nerfed?).. be careful with skills.. you can't reset it without the oblivion items.. choose very carefully.. I put a couple of battle items in your mailbox but don't have enough gold atm.. will get you more later |

if you have already downloaded the manual patch, those last 3 should be included in the manual patch.. although why it hasn't worked for you yet I don't know.. have you used bittorrent before? if not, it's possible that your firewall or router port settings might be blocking it.. :x I've been auto-updating and downloading the manual patch simultaneously.. just in case.. 3 hours in and still 22% and 44% respectively..  11:45 PM now.. this is gonna take a while.. guess I'll have to let it run while I sleep..  good luck..! |

I do have MSN but don't really use it.. will PM you my ID.. haven't been able to play for 2 days now because I had to send my little brother off at their airport during late night and had to catch up on sleep the following night.. I'm at GMT +10 timezone and usually start playing after dinner from 7 - 8 PM, and go to bed about 11 - 12 PM..  (i'm a bit late for work.. running now) |

I played quite a bit this past weekend, and would have played last night as well.. except we just got a new puppy and had to babysit him all night.. a couple of non-PTN guys also joined our clan, they're pretty active but not as talkative.. I'll be inviting more people into the clan to get it more active.. hopefully I can catch you online more, but I think what's probably missing in your game is party play while questing... which makes a world of difference because of the social aspect and because quests speed up a LOT when you party... if you see someone doing quests alone (most likely, they are), click on them, right click on their avatar and invite to party.. if you see a party going on somewhere, go nearby and saying "party? " usually works well.. hmm, btw.. did I send you any battle gear yet? if not, I'll send you some to boost you 'til 2x.. at which point when the game actually "begins" because you get much better skill damage and new gears.. and the monsters look less silly..! fur prices have gone up so much that crafting is now only useful at 4x and above I think.. probably best to sell your materials at this point or stockpile them in warehouse for me to craft for you down the road.. I think I'll be on in about 10 hours from now or so.. |
